ESA selects Polaris to participate in SOCIS
Polaris will be part of the ESA Summer of Code 2019. The selected student has been Jan-Peter Ceglarek. He will be working on a Python module to analyze satellite telemetry from the SatNOGS network.
Great news! A few weeks ago I announced that Polaris had been selected to participate in the Google Summer of Code. This time, I'm happy to say that the European Space Agency has also picked us for being part of the Summer of Code in Space.
I am pleased to introduce you to Jan-Peter Ceglarek, a young Mechatronics engineer based in Darmstadt, Germany. He's passionate about space. He has been working on ESA’s cubesat mission OPS-Sat and they built their own open-source cubesat with the student team TUDSaT.
During the next few days we will help him get up to speed. He will be joining Adityia, our GSoC student and a great community of 60+ people. If you want to be part of it, you can join our public Matrix channel and check our GitLab and Wiki pages. I'm looking forward to sharing with you all our accomplishments.
